Three days of workshops on variety of trauma related
disorders. Presentations covered traditional and alternative approaches to
treatment from presenters who are the identified leaders in the field of study.
Contemplative Issues of Clinical Practice; January – December, year
three.
Year long symposium designed to expand clinical skills, develop perspectives and interpretations on treating common clinical issues, expose ourselves to multiple approaches of intervention on the same clinical issue and to develop awareness about how clinical practice effects both micro and macro issues for the individual and our community.
EMDR: Eye Movement Detestation Reprocessing Study Group
Bi-monthly four hour study group
for EMDR trained professionals. Group includes presentation on advances in
training, case consultation and discussion of the protocal.

Northwest Regional Training on Trauma and Dissociative Disorders,

Three days of training in a variety
of workshops on trauma ranging from acute stress, PTSD, and dissociation.
The Pragmatics of HIPAA: Practice Guidelines and the New Federal
Rule, May.
Training on the Federal Health
Information Portability and Accountability Act to help incorporate the rules
into practice.

Training for 2 ½ days in a trauma
reduction technique conducted by the EMDR institute.

To help professionals and the public understand the new Federal Standards for Privacy of Individually Identifiable Health Information Rule under HIPAA. Development of the ethical and legal implications of HIPAA for clinical practice. (I was one of the presenters at this event.)

Three-day workshop designed to further understanding in how developmental disruptions affect our patterns of relating. It addresses both environment and biology.
Patient Confidentiality and Documentation, September.
Clinical and legal issues for ethical psychotherapy as related to laws and professional guidelines were addressed.
2000
Advanced Training Issues for Couples Therapists; January 3, 2000-December 4, 2000, year two.
Year long symposium designed to expand practice skills, intervention and theory base through reading material, applications to practice and case illustrations. The underlying assumption is that there are different approaches to the same presenting problem and an advanced clinician must learn and be prepared to adapt to the couple they are working with in order to help them resolve their problems.
